2020 Acura TLX vs 2019 Acura TLX
Serving Ridgeland, MS
The Acura TLX has been impressing drivers in the Jackson area and far beyond since its introduction in 2015. This compact executive car continues to be in its first generation for both the 2019 and 2020 model years, but you may be wondering about the updates that may have been made to the 2020 Acura TLX before you purchase your next Acura. Our associates at Acura of Jackson are excited about meeting with you soon and are happy to show you any differences between the model years and their trims in person.
Regardless of whether you choose to drive the 2019 TLX or the 2020 version, they will deliver the same performance on a trim-by-trim basis. For both model years, two powertrains are available depending on the trim that you select. The entry-level engine is a 2.4-liter i-VTEC powertrain that produces 206 horsepower. This engine is linked to a dual-clutch, eight-speed auto transmission with a torque converter. For drivers who crave more power, the 3.6-liter, V6 engine is another option. It gives you 290 horsepower behind the wheel and is tied to a nine-speed automatic transmission. A sport-tuned suspension system, paddle shifters, all-wheel drive, and Dynamic Sport+ equipment are available or standard at different trim levels for both model years.
Between the 2019 and 2020 versions, the Acura TLX’s stunning style is unchanged. With a crest-style grille accented in chrome and featuring a stardust pattern, the TLX’s front end makes a stunning first impression. This gorgeous grille is accompanied by shimmering LED headlights, and these lights sit over the car’s foglamps. From the rounded nose and across the flowing, tapered profile, the TLX shows off its sporty side with stunning clarity. The rear of the TLX has an athletic edge with a strong taillight design, dual exhaust tips, and a spoiler. Additional equipment on the TLX for both years includes puddle lights, heated and powered side mirrors, remote entry a power sunroof, and a few other items.
The interior design and available amenities across the trim levels for the 2019 and 2020 TLX are comparable. The available materials for both years include leatherette, Milano leather, and Alcantara leather. Optional or included features are voice recognition, an ELS premium audio system, a navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free technology, a push-button ignition, smart entry, a GPS-linked automatic climate control system, heated rear and front seats and other items. For both years, all trim levels come with AcuraWatch technologies that take your safety on the road to a new level. These assistive features include road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and others.
