2022 Acura RDX vs 2021 Acura RDX

Serving Ridgeland, MS

The RDX is a stunning crossover SUV that has been a part of Acura’s lineup for years. This small luxury model broke into its third generation in 2019, and Acura has continued to improve the RDX since that time. Now that you are considering upgrading to the RDX, you may be interested in learning about the many improvements that Acura has made between the 2021 and 2022 model years.

Performance

The powertrains available for the 2021 and 2022 Acura RDX are unchanged. However, Acura has returned the adaptive suspension system and the drive modes to elevate the capabilities of the 2022 RDX. In addition, engineering advancements have reduced cabin noise for an improved driving experience. All trims receive 272 horsepower from a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder system for both model years. This is linked to a 10-speed auto transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is offered with select packages for both years.

Appearance

The style of the 2022 Acura RDX has been fine-tuned as well, but the updates are minor. Both model years show off an aggressive, pentagon-shaped grille with jewel-like LED headlights. For 2022, you will find a black fascia on the front bumper, an angled molding element floating across the side panels, and a flowing profile.

Features

Inside the cabin, the 2022 Acura RDX adds wireless smart device app connectivity and a wireless charging pad. Base-level features for both model years include a wireless hotspot, a nine-speaker sound system, a touch control pad for the 10.2-inch central display screen, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, etc. Higher trim levels for both years include:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • An upgraded sound system
  • Leather upholstery
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Heated rear outboard seats
  • A surround-view camera
  • A heads-up display
  • and more
