New Acura ZDX and ZDX Type S Will Take Brand’s Precision Crafted Performance into the Electrified Era
Acura is dedicated to moving its lineup into the future with the upcoming release of the ZDX and ZDX Type S. The ZDX was recently introduced as the Acura Precision EV Concept at the Monterey Car Week event. The brand, which is part of the American Honda family, leads the way with Acura’s electrification. Acura strives to be a carbon-neutral company by 2050. As part of this plan, the Acura line expects to achieve 100% of sales of fuel-cell electric and battery-electric vehicles throughout North America by 2040.
The ZDX and the ZDX Type S are all-electric models that will deliver the stunning performance that Acura’s drivers expect. They have been designed in the Acura Design Studio, operating since 2007. The ZDX’s platform is the product of co-development with GM and draws its power from Ultium batteries. Soon after the ZDX’s anticipated launch in 2024, the Acura EV models will use the company’s architecture, which its calls e:Architecture.
